Radio Flyer Wagon, Awards And Fullfillment
In the early twentieth century, a young Italian named Antonio Pasin dreamed of a better life for himself in America. His family supported his dreams, sell their meager belongings to finance the trip. Antonio Pasin left his parents and friends behind at the tender age of sixteen, and traveled to Chicago. Pasin came from a line of carpenters and hoped to find work as a carpenter. Instead, the teenager worked various odd jobs until he finally saved the money for his own workshop and wood material work.
In this store a small room, Antonio Pasin started building their American dream, working day and night handcrafting wooden cars. Pasin first called his business the Liberty Coaster Company. Over the next few years, Pasin began using the same technology that makes cars, producing large quantities of cars of high quality steel. He called his Radio Manufacturing Company Steel, but coined their red wagon from Radio Flyer, which would eventually become the company name.
Radio Flyer has been producing the world's favorite toy tractors for more than eighty-five years. They have achieved great customer loyalty and became a household name. Radio Flyer and its products were noted for their high standards, quality products, and their dedication to numerous awards.
The 1933 World's Fair, held at the company's hometown of Chicago, was first thrust Radio Flyer's public recognition. The Radio Flyer exposure had the forty-five meters Coaster Boy and was one of the most popular attractions. The company has great success with the sale of its miniature collectible cars at the show, leading to an increase in sales in the rest of its product line.
During World War II, Radio Flyer has ceased production of its toys for the manufacture of materials necessary for the military. An army of allocation Navy 'E', was presented to the company on July 14, 1945, to recognize their efforts in supporting the war. After the war, Radio Flyer has taken over the production of their lines of toys, experiencing even more customer loyalty and satisfaction. Through the years, many of Radio Flyer's products were named with special awards for their quality and popularity.
Radio Flyer wagons and tricycles have been voted the world's best selling toys time and time again. Its products have won numerous prestigious awards including Parent's Choice agencies, The Great American Toy Test, Dr. Toy and Parent's Guide to Children's Media. Many Radio Flyer toys were also given Seal National Parent Center approval.
To commemorate the eightieth anniversary of the Radio Flyer, the company produced the record for world's largest Wagon. The one kind of a big red wagon weighs 15,000 pounds and measures a huge 27 meters long and 13 meters in diameter.
Antonio Pasin and Radio Flyer toys have influenced the minds and changed the lives of children everywhere for nearly a century. In 2003 Pasin was praised for his innovative ideas with the ultimate prize. The Toy Industry Hall of Fame inducted 44 Pasin as inventor of the toy, honoring the creative spirit that has driven the Radio Flyer where they are today.
